Biography of DIG

Moinul Haque BPM (Bar), PPM, Deputy Inspector General of Bangladesh Police, is currently working as Deputy Inspector General of Khulna Range.
Mr. Moinul was born to a noble Muslim family in Patuakhali District. After completion of his schooling and intermediate education from Dhaka Board, he got admitted into Dhaka University in 1987 and secured his Bachelor of Science (Honors) and Master of Science degrees in Applied Physics. In pursuance of academic excellence and professional skills, he obtained a MS degree in Criminology and Police Management from University of Portsmouth, United Kingdom.
In the span of twenty-one years of career, Mr. Moinul served in various capacities of Bangladesh Police with reputation, integrity, competence, professionalism and code of ethics. He joined in Bangladesh Police as an Assistant Superintendent of Police through Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) Examination in 2001. He served in District Police, Armed Police Battalion, Special Security and Protection Battalion, Police Staff College and Dhaka Metropolitan Police. He held many important commanding positions which include Superintendent of Police in Jamalpur, Mymensingh, Narayanganj and Jashore District. He served as Additional DIG (Transport) and Additional DIG (Logistics) in Dhaka Metropolitan Police and DIG (Intelligence) in Industrial Police Headquarter, Dhaka before joining the current position.
In international arena, Mr. Moinul served in United Nations Mission in Ivory Coast in 2005-2006. He was appointed as Platoon Commander in the United Nations Mission.
For his extraordinary contribution to Bangladesh, he was awarded with Bangladesh Police Medal (BPM) twice, first in 2017 and second in 2019. He also achieved President’s Police Medal (PPM) for his relentless effort in the development of Bangladesh Police in 2018.
Mr. Moinul represented Bangladesh Govt. in many international forums. He had opportunities to take part in many seminars, symposiums, workshops on various topics such as Senior Management Course, Advance Security Cooperation (ASC-12-2) etc. in USA, Singapore, and Malaysia.
In professional career, widely-travelled person Mr. Moinul visited many countries like United States of America, United Kingdom, Turkey, Malaysia, Singapore, and Ivory Coast across the globe to attend important capacity development programs, academic and professional training programs.
In his personal life, Mr. Moinul is married and blessed with one son.
